The Life Less Ordinary (1997) was directed by Danny Boyle (Trainspotting), & written by Boyle and John Hodge. Resulting a international profits of Trainspotting, Hodge and Boyle sought to have funding from either Channel 4 to make the film that would appeal to the U.S. audience however this watch higher proven something of the mis-fire. It would better become described as a romantic/dark comedy.

It stars Cameron Diaz, Ewan McGregor, Holly Hunter, and Delroy Lindo. Hunter and Lindo play the angels O'Reilly & Jackson, sent to matchmake McGregor (Robert) and Diaz (Celine) - literally a match processed inside heaven.

Robert occurs as dreaming janitor, working for rich, spoiled, crazy Celine's father (Ian Holm). When Robert is fired, replaced using a automaton, broken higher by using, & sent an eviction notice, he eventually snaps &, in a course of demanding his job back from either Holm, terminates higher kidnapping Celine, & a moving-picture show centers in the area of the friendly relationship & love that grows between the children (& the homicide tries it develop to evade).

Stanley Tucci appears as Diaz's fiance/dentist, and Dan Hedaya plays the angel Gabriel.

Remarkably, a film was serialised as a good-length comic strip within leading British comic 2000AD, written by then-editor David Bishop and drawn by Steve Yeowell - the 1st film to receive such coarse of action within Britain for well-nigh the decade.
